Electrical Design Engineer
About the role
The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end electrical design of building automation controllers. This role develops schematics and designs analog and digital circuits to meet performance, cost, and EMC requirements. The position provides technical support across product development and works closely with testing, manufacturing, and firmware teams to ensure robust, manufacturable, and high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical design of building automation controllers from concept through production
- Develop detailed schematics and circuit designs, including analog and digital architectures
- Ensure designs meet performance, cost, reliability, and EMC/EMI requirements
- Select and evaluate components with a focus on lifecycle, availability, and manufacturability
- Support hardware verification, validation, and compliance testing activities
- Collaborate closely with firmware engineers to ensure seamless HW/FW integration
- Partner with manufacturing to support design-for-manufacturing (DFM), design-for-test (DFT), and production ramp-up
- Document designs, requirements, and technical decisions in accordance with engineering standards
- Assist in execution of test plans
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 1+ years’ experience in electrical/electronic hardware design, root cause analysis, and product development lifecycles
Preferred Qualifications
- Low voltage power and analog circuit experience
- Soldering experience
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
