Electrical Control Systems Engineer
About The Position
The Electrical Control Systems Engineer supports both new and existing automation equipment across various facilities and departments. They help reduce operating costs, increase productivity, minimize labor-intensive operations, enhance product quality, and coordinate capital investment projects. Their responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing automated systems to improve efficiency and productivity. They also evaluate and provide justification, specifications, scope of work, design drawings, bidding, scheduling, supervision, and commissioning of automation projects. They support all automation equipment, utilize technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, automation, and process engineering, and explore ways to improve or upgrade automation systems. They participate in the CAPEX preparation process, monitor costs, quality, and time constraints, arrange outside contractors, and prepare and maintain engineering designs using CAD software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
- Automation programming/PLC experience in a manufacturing environment, including process controls, problem-solving, troubleshooting, design, and implementation of automated systems
- Experience using CAD software, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to write and communicate detailed engineering reports, identifying problems, and recommending process improvements

- Technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, automation, and process engineering
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and report writing abilities
- Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite
