Electrical/Control System Engineer I

About the Role

We are looking for an Electrical/Control System Engineer I to support our Revere brand. Candidate will be required to work on-site Monday through Friday, from our Birmingham, Alabama office location. Our Revere brand is a leading provider of automation and control solutions for the industrial, water and wastewater treatment, power and energy, manufacturing, food and beverage, oil and gas, and pulp and paper industries. We design, build, and implement customized automation and control systems for highly complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control panels and systems to meet project specifications and division design standards.
• Coordinate with panel production personnel in the fabrication of control panels.
• Develop procedures and plans for factory and field testing of control panels and systems.
• Develop PLC and HMI applications per project specifications using division/industry standards and best practices.
• Direct activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
• Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
• Technical document writing including Testing Procedures, Training Plans and Sequence of Operations.
• Notify Project Managers and Group Managers of schedule/budget goals issues.
• Request quotes from vendors and verify quoted equipment meets specification requirements.
• Provide customers with technical support via phone, remote access, and onsite service.
• Attend training and continuing education related to industry.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Entry Level to three (3) years of related work experience in related field.

Skills

• Basic computer software skills using Microsoft Office Suite, E-Mail, Internet, AutoCAD.
• Demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn technical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to design, write and test software and provide hardware services for small projects without significant supervision.
• Knowledge and experience with specialized tools and test equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact with customers, vendors, company employees and subcontractors.

Schedule

Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
