Electrical Construction Project Manager – Transportation Systems
William Charles Electric, a MasTec Company, is seeking a Project Manager to support electrical construction projects within our Transportation Group, based in Indianapolis, IN. This role focuses on the planning, design, and execution of electrical infrastructure projects, including street lighting, traffic signals, ITS, substations, distribution, and Port of Entry upgrades.

Responsibilities
- Partner with safety teams to establish and execute safety programs
- Financial monitoring and reporting, including cost tracking, revenue projections, change order logs, under/over billing reports, invoicing, and vendor/subcontractor invoice review and approval
- Collaborate with project superintendents to identify equipment, personnel, means, methods, and scheduling needs
- Manage and update receiving and yield reports, cost accounting, schedule impacts, and communication logs
- Submit quarterly cost-to-complete projections and compile weekly quantities in ViewPoint
- Maintain up-to-date change order logs and coordinate equipment acquisitions
- Track subcontract committed costs and review estimating strategies, risks, and opportunities
- Lead pre-construction planning, permit procurement, and subcontractor scope/schedule reviews
- Oversee project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and work plans
- Manage project closeout, final documentation, invoicing, and retainage release
- Build relationships in local marketplaces and interact with project teams, business leaders, and management
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and work experience)
- At least 2 years of industry experience overseeing multiple electrical transportation projects as a Project Manager
- Experience with Project Management systems such as Procore, Build2Win, MS Project, P6, or HCSS (Procore, Build2Win, or P6 experience a plus)
- Ability to read and understand contracts
- Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and time reporting systems
- Functional knowledge of job cost accounting and CPM scheduling

Pay
$120,000–$160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
