About the role
The Electrical Construction Field Superintendent (ECFS) plays a critical leadership role in our Construction Department by overseeing field supervisors and coordinating manpower across multiple projects. The ECFS ensures our teams operate efficiently, safely, and professionally while promoting Excel’s core values in every job we do. The ECFS blends hands-on field coordination, people management, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff Oversight: Allocate manpower, coordinate with project managers, monitor job progress, and support field supervisors in project planning.
- Administrative Duties: Manage time reporting, support HR and training processes, uphold company policies, and drive accountability.
- Workforce Development: Mentor supervisors, identify skills gaps, implement training plans, and promote leadership growth in the field.
- Job Closeout: Collaborate with PMs and Safety to analyze project outcomes and improve future performance.
- Policies Enforcement: Maintain jobsite safety, protect company assets, and model Excel’s core values.
- Other Duties: Jump in where needed to support team and operational success.

Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of construction or service experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Deep knowledge of electrical code, OSHA, and safety protocols
- Strong leadership presence and field supervision skills
- Preferred: Journeyman or Master License, and 2+ years as a Project Foreman
- Experienced construction professional with a strong background in field operations
- Clear, confident communicator with strong organizational skills
- Mechanically inclined, process-oriented, and safety-focused
