About the role

Lead and/or assist in the performance of Electrical Component (Parts) Engineering, development and execution of the program Electrical Electronic Electromechanical (EEE) Parts management plan.

Evaluate new technologies and work closely with survivability, designers, test and manufacturing engineers, agencies like DLA, Part Manufacturers and Test Labs.

Develop and evaluate new and innovative technology to survive in the harshest of environments and most critical strategic systems.

  • Participate in Electrical / Electronic / Electromechanical (EEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture and test.
  • Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports.
  • Cook with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain organization.
  • Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits (ICs), hybrids, crystals, crystal oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, thermistors.
  • Travel and work closely with suppliers and government agencies to ensure electronic component selections meet both quality expectations and product performance requirements.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Materials Engineering with emphasis on electrical parts, semiconductor physics or related field of study.
  • Familiarity with technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.).
  • Experience participating in major program milestone reviews such as PDR and CDR.
  • Basic understanding of Nuclear effects on EEE parts and demonstrated ability to work closely with Survivability Engineers in strategic Rad Hard applications.
  • Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements.
  • Basic understanding of worst-case analysis (WCA) / EEE parts derating and end of life requirements.
  • Ability to establish and implement technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related technical field and 3+ years of related professional work experience.

Skills
