About the role

The Glumac Commissioning Team is a dedicated group of professionals focused on providing the highest quality commissioning services. We work with our clients from design to move-in and beyond, supporting and achieving project goals through collaboration among the owner, design team, contractors, and building operators.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field functional testing.
  • Create pre-functional and functional checklists.
  • Lead commissioning meetings and manage the commissioning process for assigned projects.
  • Perform field observations and document test results.
  • Maintain issue resolution logs and compile commissioning reports.
  • Assist with project management tasks as needed.
  • Follow internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or a related field, or industry commensurate experience.
  • 8+ years of related industry experience and 2+ years of experience in datacenter commissioning, operations, or construction.
  • ANSI/ISO Accreditation Cx Certification (BCxA CCP, ACG CxA, ASHRAE BCxP).
  • Strong technical knowledge of datacenter electrical system design and operation, controls, and instrumentation.
  • Project management expertise, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
  • Exceptional client-facing, client relationship, and client management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in team environments.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Safety first mindset.
  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs and lift/carry loads above 20 lbs.
  • Ability to be on a job site for extended periods (8-10 hours).
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed, approximately 50%.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance.

Qualifications

  • Professional licensure (PE license, Energy Management, or TAB certifications) is a plus.
  • Experience managing QA/QC processes.
  • Data center Electrical systems commissioning experience.
  • Utility and medium voltage electrical systems commissioning and/or testing experience.
  • Infrared Thermography certification.
  • Experience with commissioning software or ongoing commissioning tools.
  • Candidates with commensurate experience gained from military service will be considered and are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience gained from military service maintaining, operating and/or testing nuclear power or other power systems.
  • This includes power systems, battery systems, steam generation, hydroelectric plants, medium voltage distribution, and more.
  • Experience gained in commissioning, testing, or quality assurance of medium voltage power systems that include power plants, solar, electric vehicle charging, critical power systems, and more.

Benefits

Compensation range: $110,000 - $200,000 (depending on experience)
