Electrical CAD Engineer

About the role

You will serve as a technical authority for the design, development, and lifecycle management of complex printed circuit board assemblies (PCBs). This role goes beyond standard layout to lead architecture strategy, establish enterprise-level design standards, and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-complexity multi-layer PCBs using Cadence, OrCAD, and Allegro, navigating rigorous electrical and mechanical constraints
• Lead architecture strategy for PCB designs, including high-speed digital, RF signal routing, and high-power switching
• Implement EMI/EMC mitigation strategies and low-cost fabrication parameters
• Develop engineering automation and advanced scripting using Python
• Mentor junior engineers and communicate complex technical requirements to executive stakeholders and external vendors
• Establish and maintain enterprise design standards and manage PCB lifecycle using PLM systems

Requirements

• Expertise in complex multi-layer PCB design and electrical engineering
• Mastery of Cadence, Allegro, or OrCAD tools
• Experience with enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
• Deep knowledge of high-speed digital design, RF signal routing, and high-power switching
• Proven experience in EMI/EMC mitigation and signal/power integrity
• Strong Python skills for engineering-specific automation and advanced scripting
• Ability to mentor junior staff and articulate technical requirements to stakeholders
