- Working alongside a team of engineers.
- Responsible for creating drawings and simulations using software tools and resources supporting clients' overall project goals.
- Working on projects that focus on building electrical design, including lighting, power, and systems coordination within a wide range of power plant technologies such as gas-powered generation, biomass, municipal waste, hydrogen production and applications, carbon capture, BESS, hydro, wind, and solar.
- Leading and executing complex projects.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in drafting technology or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of electrical one-line diagrams, circuit diagrams, cable routing, and knowledge of the NEC.
- Substation physical layout and electrical clearances.
- Ability to work in a team environment, and to coordinate the work of various engineering disciplines and contractors to complete an integrated project.
- Mastery of detailing skills and demonstration of basic knowledge in design, calculations, and design systems.
- Advanced understanding of design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel to develop the design deliverables.
- Advanced ability to utilize both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings.
- Routinely uses higher-level commands, time-saving programs and routines.
