About the role
BakerHicks’ Electrical Services team works with clients across multiple sectors, delivering large and complex projects that require highly resilient power supplies. Specialising in heavily-regulated industries where quality and safety are key, we have experience in all aspects of the project lifecycle from definition and feasibility to detailed design and site monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Electrical Engineering & Design – HV/LV distribution, infrastructure planning, 11kV/400V standby generation, UPS and resilient power systems, lighting (general and emergency), fire detection, lightning protection, cable management, structured cabling, and security, access, CCTV, PA, and communications networks.
- Technical Management – design assurance, mentoring and technical governance
- Project Delivery – project management, planning, cost/commercial and delivery support
- Technical & Digital Support – BIM, CAD, information management and technical documentation
Requirements
We welcome applications from candidates with varying levels of experience. You may demonstrate:
- Electrical engineering or technical capability appropriate to your level (Engineer to Principal)
- Experience working within complex, regulated or safety-critical project environments
- An understanding of quality, assurance, safety and compliance requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage risk and change
- Clear communication and effective collaboration within multi-disciplinary teams
- Motivation to develop technically, take on responsibility and progress your career
Qualifications, Professional Registration or Certifications
Relevant qualifications, professional registration or certifications are welcomed and supported but are not required for all roles.

Security & Project Requirements
Due to the nature of our work, these roles will require SC or DV security clearance. Where appropriate, BakerHicks will support individuals through the clearance process. We encourage applications from those who do not currently hold clearance, however applicants must understand the requirements and demonstrate eligibility to achieve clearance, including meeting nationality, residency and background criteria.
