Your Opportunity

As an Electrical BIM Coordinator, you will be an integral member of a multidisciplinary design team, supporting the delivery of high-quality electrical systems for a variety of building projects. Working closely with electrical engineers, designers, project managers, and other design disciplines, you will help lead the development, coordination, and quality of electrical Building Information Models (BIM) from early design through construction documentation. This role offers the opportunity to build your technical and BIM expertise, collaborate across disciplines, and gain exposure to real-world project delivery in a fast-paced A/E environment. You will play a key role in ensuring electrical models and construction documents are accurate, coordinated, efficient, and aligned with client, project, and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate, complete, and well-coordinated electrical construction documentation using Revit
  • Develop, maintain, and coordinate electrical BIM models throughout all phases of project delivery
  • Coordinate electrical design solutions with architectural teams, structural teams, mechanical engineers, technology disciplines, and other project stakeholders
  • Perform interdisciplinary model coordination and identify potential conflicts, clashes, and constructability issues
  • Support electrical engineers and designers with model development, documentation, and implementation of design intent
  • Assist with BIM setup, model organization, worksharing, file management, and project-specific BIM standards
  • Monitor model health, accuracy, and consistency throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain electrical Revit families, templates, views, schedules, sheets, and other model content as required
  • Support implementation of project BIM execution plans and established digital delivery standards
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings and communicate modeling or coordination issues to project teams
  • Assist with clash detection, coordination reviews, and resolution of conflicts between electrical systems and other building disciplines
  • Review electrical models and drawings for consistency, completeness, and compliance with project requirements
  • Maintain organized project files, calculations, model documentation, and technical information
  • Support project teams with troubleshooting Revit and BIM-related issues
  • Assist in developing and improving BIM workflows, modeling standards, and best practices
  • Coordinate model updates and ensure design revisions are accurately incorporated into project documentation
  • Ensure quality assurance standards are upheld throughout all phases of design

Qualifications

  • Degree or certification in Electrical Design, Building Information Modeling (BIM), CAD, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 1+ years of relevant electrical design, BIM, or Revit experience
  • Previous experience supporting electrical systems for building projects in an architecture, engineering, or construction environment preferred
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary building design teams is preferred

Skills

  • Proficiency in Revit for design development, BIM coordination, and construction documentation within a multidisciplinary A/E environment
  • Working knowledge of electrical engineering and building systems with the ability to understand and coordinate electrical design intent
  • Experience developing and maintaining electrical BIM models and construction documents
  • Understanding of BIM workflows, model coordination, worksharing, file management, and model organization
  • Ability to coordinate electrical systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and other building disciplines
  • Familiarity with clash detection and multidisciplinary model coordination processes
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, Navisworks, or similar BIM collaboration and coordination platforms is preferred
  • Ability to identify modeling conflicts, coordination issues, and documentation inconsistencies and work with project teams to resolve them
  • Knowledge of Revit families, schedules, views, sheets, parameters, and electrical modeling practices
  • Ability to follow and implement established BIM standards, project requirements, and quality control procedures
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, coordinated project documentation
