Electrical & Automation Engineer
About the role
Condesign is seeking a skilled Electrical and Automation Engineer to join our team and client as a consultant in Gothenburg. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong communication skills and enjoys collaboration. The projects involve design and commissioning of vessel and harbour electrification, as well as optimization of vessel drivelines. We value a good theoretical understanding combined with practical experience in the domain.
Responsibilities
- Optimization of vessel drivelines
- Design and commissioning of vessel and harbour electrification systems
- Creation of approval documentation for class societies (e.g., short circuit calculations, discrimination/selectivity analysis, electrical system philosophy, single line diagrams)
- Electrical calculations and power system studies (load flows, short circuit studies, arc and protection coordination studies, transient stability studies)
- Technical support and close customer contact
- Instrumentation configuration and commissioning
- Use of design tools like EPLAN or similar, and electrical calculation software like ETAP or NEPLAN
Requirements
- MSc/BSc in Electric Power Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, System Controls & Mechatronics, or similar
- Technical experience in electronics and automation
- Experience with Eplan software drawings
- Experience in electrical design, particularly medium voltage systems
- Knowledge in dimensioning distribution network systems (switchboards, transformers, cables, etc.) for MV/LV
- Experience with power electronics (Medium voltage and Low voltage)
- Experience with energy storage systems (batteries) and marine onboard electric distribution systems
- Familiarity with standards and classification rules used in design and installation
- Experience with commissioning Medium voltage and Low voltage systems
- Strong understanding of Electrical & Electronics, including hardware design, testing, documentation, fault tracing, and debugging
- Experience with Vessel engine control systems
- Experience from marine engineering and/or technical support (meritorious)

- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Driving License
