Job Summary

The Electrical Automation Engineer 2 supports pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, critical utility systems, and facility operations to ensure compliance with GMP standards. Key responsibilities include developing and executing validation plans, leading project teams, and managing change control processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute URS, FAT, and commissioning/validation plans
  • Lead investigations for change control, deviations, and CAPAs
  • Develop and lead projects aligned with commercial and marketing strategies
  • Manage project risks, budgets, and schedules
  • Generate quality documentation such as SOPs, Change Controls, URS, and Job Plans
  • Perform risk assessments and gap analyses for tech transfers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • Electrical Engineering degree preferred
  • EIT/PE license preferred
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification highly desired
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech environment or 1 year in an Automation Engineer role
  • Strong PLC, HMI, and SCADA system experience
  • Project management experience with proven results

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of aseptic manufacturing and fermentation processes
  • Design documentation, equipment manuals, and P&ID interpretation skills
  • Adherence to Quality Systems and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Ability to influence team members, peers, and senior managers
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify and implement automated systems and optimize existing processes

Skills

  • MS Project or Excel, Word, PowerPoint proficiency

Physical Demands
