Electrical Assistant Project Manager

Core responsibilities

• Develop skills through hands-on experience, peer collaboration, and ongoing technical training.
• Aid in estimating project scope and costs.
• Manage projects with subcontractors.
• Communicate with clients and subcontractors.
• Attend and actively participate in project coordination and owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings as requested or required.
• Research and prepare change requests to resolve design issues for approval.
• Research and recommend solutions to design document problems, including conflicts, interferences, and errors/omissions.
• Maintain oversight of field work and/or contract work to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, specifications, and codes.
• Aid in the submittal process.
• Aid in the tracking and completion of billing.

Qualifications

• A College degree, journeyman’s license, or master electrician’s license.
• Understanding of electrical installations.
• Strong computer skills - Specifically in Microsoft 365.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Preferred Experience

• In dealing with industrial construction/contracting.
• Electrical contracting assistant project management experience.
• Familiar with computer-based estimating.
• Experience with COINS (ERP Software).
• Knowledge of billing and collections.
