About the role

Perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in marine equipment and systems. Test finished electrical units to ensure they meet safety and performance standards. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to guide installation and repair work.

Responsibilities

  • Proven work experience in electrical assembly.
  • Knowledge of marine electrical systems and components (a plus).
  • Read and understand technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety and procedural guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety compliance including PPE adherence, safety policy adherence, and safe behaviors and conditions.
  • Report all hazards to supervisor immediately.
  • Understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment where designated (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves).

Requirements

  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues.
  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for automating and controlling electrical systems.
  • Understanding of power distribution systems and their maintenance.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Willing and able to be cross-functionally trained throughout the workstation to cover absenteeism.
  • Broad range of skill and working knowledge of work tasks plus related tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Willing to work extra hours to assure timely completion of critical projects.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $23.50–$28.10 hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. This position may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, short-term incentive program, and a long-term incentive program award target.
