Electrical Assembler
Join our team in Whitewater, Wisconsin, as an Electrical Assembler at Coperion FHN, a Hillenbrand company. You’ll contribute to the quality and reliability of industrial feeding and material handling equipment in a clean, well-organized production environment.
About the role
This hands-on position supports safe operations and steady production by assembling, wiring, and inspecting electrical panels and cable assemblies. You’ll work in a structured, process-driven environment with a consistent schedule, helping deliver equipment that meets customer and production requirements.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and rebuild electronic products and components to meet customer and production requirements.
- Build, wire, and inspect electrical panels and cable assemblies according to drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Perform skilled fitting by mounting chassis, panels, parts, and subassemblies with attention to accuracy and workmanship.
- Inspect, organize, and test circuits and equipment to verify functionality and quality standards.
- Use measurement devices to validate electrical performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Support lean manufacturing practices by maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient 5S work area.
- Follow ISO 9001 quality standards, work instructions, and procedures to ensure consistent results.
Requirements
- An associate degree in electronics, electronic technology, or equivalent hands-on experience, typically 2–4 years in electronic assembly or wiring.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics.
- Working knowledge of common electrical measurement devices and test equipment.
- Ability to assemble, wire, and inspect panels and cable assemblies with consistency and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills for documentation, instructions, and production systems.
- Dependable work style with a strong sense of responsibility and follow-through.
- Comfort working in a structured, process-driven manufacturing environment with quality and safety standards.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Schedule
Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.; Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (1st shift)
