Electrical Apprentice (Night Shift)

Job Summary

About the Role

The Electrical Apprentice coordinates and oversees the maintenance and repair of electrical systems in an aggregate plant, ensuring safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues
• Supervise electrical technicians and contractors
• Manage spare parts inventory
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations (e.g., NEC, MSHA, OSHA)
• Document all maintenance activities

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an Apprenticeship Program or 4+ years of training in the electrical field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the electrical trade laying out work and organizing jobs
• Experience in the mining industry preferred

Qualifications

• Ability to interact with plant personnel and different levels of management
• Demonstrable experience interpreting pertinent electrical codes (NEC, NESC, & MSHA)
• Valid drivers license and ability to drive a pickup truck
• Ability to lift 40lbs and occasionally lift heavier items
• Ability to work in a very stressful, deadline-oriented environment
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle unexpected situations

Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems
• Project management skills
• Interpretation of technical documents like schematics and electrical codes
