Electrical Apprentice / Helper

About the role

We are seeking Electrical Apprentices and Helpers to support electrical construction activities on the Samsung Semiconductor project in Taylor, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman electricians with daily electrical installation tasks
• Support work including: Conduit installation and material handling, Cable tray assembly and installation, Wire pulling and labeling, Equipment staging and cleanup
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all site safety rules and participate in daily safety meetings
• Learn and apply NEC requirements and project standards
• Clock in and out using the company’s time tracking system
• Clock in and out using the company’s time tracking system
• Coordinate work with foremen and other trades as directed

Requirements

• Previous electrical construction experience preferred, but not required
• Willingness to learn and take direction from supervision
• Ability to perform physical labor in an industrial construction environment
• Basic hand tool knowledge
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work extended hours and overtime as required
• Must be able to obtain and provide a Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR) apprentice or helper registration number upon acceptance (if applicable to role)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check

Pay

• $20-$25 per hour based on experience and qualifications
