ELECTRICAL APPRENTICE

Apprentice Electricians in Pecos, TX – Full Time

About the role

The Electrical Apprentice is responsible for knowing and following appropriate safety procedures and must have construction experience within the Industrial Construction Project Environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs miscellaneous tasks that require manually moving materials, tools, and equipment and using hand tools and power tools.
• Performs work area clean-up and safety-related duties.
• Communicates with various personnel concerning initiation of maintenance.
• Follows any other job-related instructions and performs any other job-related duties requested by supervisor or designated representative.
• Works in operating facilities and observes and abides by additional safety policies and procedures.
• Performs wire pulling.
• Acts as spotter for Equipment Operators.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 6–47 months of experience in the industrial, electrical construction environment.
• Texas State Apprentice License.
• Ability to pass drug test as mandated by Saulsbury Industries and Department of Transportation anti-drug program.
• Must attend and successfully complete Saulsbury Industries safety training education.
• Must own Fire Resistant Clothing (FRC).
• Must be clean shaven.

Safety Requirements

• On a continual basis, promotes an awareness of environmental, health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment and ensures compliance with all company policies.
• Attends safety meetings and specialty training as directed by management.
• Attends various training classes as may be assigned by management.
• Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
• Takes needed safety precautions in performing the work.

• Far visual acuity (ability to see things clearly that are beyond arm’s reach).
• Ability to see small detail.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb 30-foot ladders without resting.
• Ability to maintain balance on catwalks and narrow workspaces.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to reach above head while sitting or standing.
• Ability to reach below knees while standing.
• Ability to stoop or kneel.
• Ability to work 60 or more hours each week.
• Ability to work at heights a minimum of 20 ft.
