Electric Motor Winder

Our roots date back to the 1950s in a small electric motor repair shop in Central Wisconsin. Today, we service over 10,000 pieces of equipment annually across industries ranging from industrial customers to power producers to transportation. We provide predictive and preventative maintenance, distribute electric motors and drives, and design integrated power solutions worldwide. Despite our growth, our focus remains on delivering quality products and legendary service.
Responsibilities
- Inspect equipment and parts for damage, diagnose possible reasons for issues.
- Wind, assemble, and install various types of coils in AC/DC rotating machines using industry best practices.
- Operate specialized repair and testing equipment used in the electrical rotating apparatus repair industry.
- Braze using oxy-acetylene, induction, and/or resistance welding techniques.
- Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective equipment.
- Perform all essential functions of the job and complete required job documentation.
- Provide feedback to assist in accurate costing and work scope development for rewind projects.
- Utilize manufacturer’s recommendations and industry best practices.
- Conduct preventive maintenance as required on equipment in your work area.
- Clean and organize the shop to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervision.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good hand/eye coordination and understanding of electrical theory.
- Strong mechanical aptitude/skills.
- Able to wear necessary protective equipment.
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
- Authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Previous motor winding experience.
- Willing to work overtime, weekdays, and weekends to meet customer service requirements.
- Experience with rigging, lifting heavy loads, and operating overhead cranes.
- Forklift experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring devices, such as micrometers and calipers.
Physical Demands
- Frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Daily use of PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed safety shoes.

Schedule
