Electric Mechanic A
Primary Purpose
At our Cleveland Service Center site, located in Cleveland, Ohio, the Electric Mechanic A is responsible for performing operations that involve but not limited to dismantling, cleaning, repairing, rebuilding of components across multiple product lines in an effective and efficient manner for the organization. Employees are involved in 5S and lean projects. This role will report directly to the Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform complicated operations involving assembling, dismantling, cleaning, inspecting, and repairing of components within the department.
- Demonstrated ability with a focus on safety awareness and accident prevention.
- Understanding of electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, maintenance manuals and instructions, parts lists and prints.
- Knowledge and experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and the ability to identify and correct problems.
- Able to meet aggressive delivery schedules and productivity goals and to make/implement recommendations that will both improve the repair process and quality.
- Flexibility to perform all tasks required to repair Alternators and Generators.
- Perform 5S and lean projects.
- Use of torches and large impact guns.
- Familiar with sanders, grinders, drills, and a variety of other hand tools.
- All other duties assigned by supervision, including potential braze certification.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 1 year in manufacturing environment or equivalent experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Tow Motor experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to clearly communicate ideas and concepts.
Physical Demands
- Employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- Employee is regularly required to see and observe small handwriting, labels, and components.
- Employee is required to wear steel toe shoes, safety glasses at all times while on production floor.
- Lift up to 50lbs.
- Position requires the employee to be on-site during scheduled shift to perform daily duties and responsibilities.
Work Environment
- The employee will normally work in an industrial environment, with frequent exposure to electronic testing equipment.
- During visits to areas of operations, they may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.
- Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
