Electric Assembler

About the role

You will use schematics, blueprints, wiring lists, and other instructions to assemble and wire industrial control panels, wiring systems, electronic controllers, and custom assemblies. Work is completed timely and accurately to meet customer needs and quality objectives.

As a UL 508A/698A listed panel shop, we have in-house electrical engineers and designers experienced in drafting, building, programming, and supporting Industrial Control Panels (ICPs) for a variety of applications and working environments.

Responsibilities

• Wire complex custom controls using supplied prints and instructions with little to no supervision.
• Read and understand customer-supplied prints and schematics of various forms, including all symbols and terminology.
• Learn and understand how to program input parameters into multiple brands of VFDs.
• Understand all shop tooling and computer software and assist others when needed.
• Understand UL requirements pertaining to panel layouts and wiring concepts to ensure all panels meet UL standards.
• Perform control panel testing and supervise Electrical Assemblers when needed.

Requirements

• 2-year AAS in an Electrical Field or 3 years of on-the-job experience.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, including all symbols and terminology.
• Proficiency in learning and programming input parameters into multiple brands of VFDs and PLCs.
• Proficiency with shop tooling and computer software.
• Understanding of UL requirements for panel layouts and wiring concepts.
