Starting salary (without PDE Certification): $41,645

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, social services, or related field.
• Experience in program management.
• Demonstrated ability to work with schools and community.
• Ability to work independently and to interact well with others.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, in addition to technology required for communication and meeting the expectations of the program.

About the role

The ELECT Outreach Worker acts as liaison among pregnant and parenting students, parents/guardians, local agencies, ASD, and community-based student support providers. The goals of the ELECT program are high school graduation and future economic self-sufficiency for these students and their children.

Responsibilities

• Outreach to pregnant and parenting students.
• Development and implementation of Individualized Service Plans.
• Home visits and group meetings.
• Case management including resource identification, referral, and follow-up.
• Parent education.
• Records maintenance and accurate, timely data collection and submission.
• Reflect the ethnic and cultural diversity of the community.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of available community resources.
• Work with low-income families.
• Apply knowledge of child development and child-rearing techniques.
• Exhibit professionalism, enthusiasm for learning and teaching, and acceptance, empathy, and positive regard.
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to the philosophy, vision, and mission of the ELECT Program.
• Maintain good organizational skills and accurate records.
