ELECT Family Life Education School Social Worker
for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose. Do NOT repeat job title as heading. Do NOT put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings. Remove boilerplate etc. Include a section only when posting has real, specific content for it. So we need to parse the job description and extract sections.
The posting includes:
- Position Title: ELECT Family Life Education School Social Worker
- Classification: REA
- Reports To: Coordinator of School Social Workers/Building Principal
- Position Goal: Provide to pregnant and parenting teens information about medical care, infant development, parenting, life skills, and career opportunities. Enhance self-esteem and decision making skills of pregnant and parenting adolescents. Assist in assessing needs of program participants and make appropriate referrals.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: list of duties.
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
- QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: includes EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, Language Skills, Mathematical Skills, Reasoning Ability, OTHER SKILLS And ABILITIES.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: description.
- WORK ENVIRONMENT: description.
- EVALUATION: description.
- Additional boilerplate: equal opportunity etc.
We need to map to allowed sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule.
We need to decide which sections have content.
- About the role: could include Position Goal, maybe classification, reports to. So we can put that in About the role.
- Responsibilities: essential functions list.
- Requirements: maybe education/experience, certificates, etc. Could be Qualifications.
- Qualifications: maybe separate from Requirements? The instructions say we can have sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to avoid duplication. Likely we combine education/experience and certificates under Qualifications, and maybe Requirements is for required skills? But we can decide.
Better: Use About the role (position goal, reports to, classification). Responsibilities (essential functions). Qualifications (education/experience, certificates, licenses). Skills (language, math, reasoning, other skills). Possibly Requirements could be omitted if we put everything in Qualifications and Skills. But we need to include sections only when there is real content. We can include About the role, Responsibilities, Qualifications, Skills. Possibly also Requirements if we separate something like "Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily" but that's generic.
We should not include Benefits, Pay, Schedule because not mentioned.
We must not include filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present.
We need to use
for each section heading.
Inside sections, we need to use
for prose, and
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits.
Thus:

We could also include Physical Demands and Work Environment maybe as separate sections? Not in allowed headings. Could we put them under About the role? Probably not. The instructions say we should only use those headings. So we should omit Physical Demands and Work Environment because they don't fit any allowed heading. However we must preserve ALL substantive information; we cannot omit required info. But the allowed headings list is not exhaustive? It says: Use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It gives examples, not an exhaustive list? It says "use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." That suggests those are the allowed headings. It also says "IMPORTANT: include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it — never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text". So we must only use those headings. If we have content that doesn't fit, we might need to incorporate into existing sections. For Physical Demands and Work Environment, we could maybe put them under About the role or Responsibilities? Not ideal but we could add a paragraph under About the role describing work environment? Or maybe we can create a section "Requirements" for physical demands? But Requirements is more about job requirements (like qualifications). Physical demands could be considered a requirement. Work environment maybe also a requirement. So we could put them under Requirements.
Thus we can have a Requirements section that includes Physical Demands and Work Environment.
Let's do that.
Requirements:
Requirements
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Some driving is necessary; light lifting – up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. Occasionally, yet essential to this position, the individual must meet deadlines with severe time constraints.
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet but may be moderate to loud at times. The employee is frequently required to interact with the parents, public and staff during and after the normal workday. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and exhibit good human relation skills including courtesy, tact and patience.
