About the role

This role is for a long-term substitute EL resource teacher at Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205. The position involves working at Lincoln in the morning and Emerson in the afternoon, from August 11, 2026 to November 9, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted instruction and support for English learners in collaboration with classroom teachers, administrators, and other support staff.
• Design and implement effective strategies to help students develop English language proficiency while supporting their academic growth across various subject areas.

Requirements

• A highly-qualified candidate must possess an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an ESL endorsement.

Qualifications

• Registered in DuPage County Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205.

Skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and support staff.
• Knowledge of English Language Learners (ELL) needs and best practices.

Pay

Tentative long-term rate of pay is $250 per full day.

Schedule

The schedule is Monday through Friday, with morning hours at Lincoln and afternoon hours at Emerson.
