Job Family: Faculty | Industry: Healthcare/Education | Level: Instructor

Location: Hybrid – Kentucky School of Phlebotomy Campus. This position requires one day per week on campus for hands-on skills practice, with the remainder of the work completed remotely.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced EKG Technician or healthcare professional to join our team as an EKG Technician Instructor. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge in a joyful, fast-growing educational organization that values accessibility and affordability in education.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver lectures on specified content utilizing the school’s textbook and approved instructional materials, including online instruction through platforms such as Google Classroom.
  • Administer academic and skills assessments according to the syllabus.
  • Participate in or lead hands-on skills labs, including skill demonstrations and student feedback, depending on instructional assignment and campus needs.
  • Maintain accurate student records and paperwork, including attendance, notes on student progress and conduct in class, and recording and reporting of grades.
  • Complete tasks required by the beginning of a class session, including handling of student payments and accepting of student documentation.
  • Practice within the rules and regulations of the school and the state in which the school is located with regard to policy.
  • Follow the curriculum, as set by the Ohio School of Phlebotomy and approved by the state in which the school is located.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant field experience as an EKG Technician or similar/more advanced practice (EMT, Physician's Assistant, LPN, etc.).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous teaching experience is not required.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Pay

$20 - $24/hour (DOE).
