EIR Scientist

Responsibilities

• Perform site investigations to support environmental projects, including collecting samples and environmental data.
• Manage and analyze sampling data, including summary tables, result interpretation, and sample location maps.
• Assist clients with environmental, health, and safety needs, including regulatory compliance, permitting, industrial hygiene, and health and safety matters.
• Prepare technical reports, including proposals, work plans, environmental reports, permit applications, and health & safety plans.
• Organize and prioritize a diverse workload; maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• BS in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• 2-5 years of related environmental consulting experience, TN-specific experience preferred.
• Experience with Phase 1 and Phase 2 Site assessments, other site investigations including UST’s, commercial and industrial sites, Stormwater (EPSC).
• Effective on multiple assignments, prioritizing and delegating activities, and delivering on tight deadlines.
• Capable of working independently, under direct supervision of others, and in a team-orientated environment.
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
• Commitment to safety.
• Microsoft PC applications: WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, TEAMSTECH.
• Strong technical, analytical, and research skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Preferred 40-Hour HAZWOPER Asbestos inspector certification.
• Ability for overnight travel (typically in-state).
• Local Travel up to 2-3 hrs. multiple times per week.
• Ability to perform moderately strenuous tasks.
• Ability to work independently in rural and metro environments.
• Experience with Asbestos and other building Sciences issues is preferred.
• Technical writing skills are required.

Qualifications
