About the role

The successful candidate will teach 8th grade English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies courses at St. Athanasius Catholic School in Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities

• Teach 8th grade ELA and Social Studies courses
• Implement curriculum aligned with Archdiocesan standards
• Assess student learning and provide feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices
• Participate in professional development opportunities
• Support students' social-emotional growth
• Conduct classroom management effectively

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in ELA and Social Studies
• At least two years of teaching experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other educators
• Pass a background check
