About the role
TAK Broadband is seeking an EHSQ Coordinator to support operations across multiple sites in Tennessee and Arkansas. This role plays a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, conducting site inspections, and leading safety meetings.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and audits, including daily informal site observations and bi-weekly formal documented reviews
- Lead root cause analyses (RCA) for all incidents, ensuring thorough documentation is completed and submitted in accordance with requirements
- Recognize and evaluate potential risks associated with underground utilities, aerial operations, warehouse, and transportation-related activities
- Assess the likelihood and impact of potential incidents stemming from identified hazards and implement appropriate controls to mitigate or eliminate risks
- Participate in daily Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), contributing to clear communication of hazard prevention measures and verifying that all personnel receive site-specific orientation
- Develop safety meeting materials and issue alerts based on field observations and site visits
- Facilitate or ensure completion of safety meetings in alignment with company standards and expectations
- Support the implementation of company policies and training programs, including HSE initiatives, emergency response planning, incident prevention programs, and regulatory compliance efforts
- Collaborate effectively with corporate leadership, regional teams, and safety personnel to align safety initiatives with organizational goals and policies
- Work closely with management and employees to promote a proactive safety culture focused on hazard recognition and risk reduction
- Care for injured employees by arranging transportation to designated medical providers and ensuring accurate communication with healthcare personnel regarding the worker’s condition
- Provide guidance on adherence to applicable health, safety, and environmental laws, regulations, and standards
- Verify employees are adequately trained in topics such as PPE, safe work practices, and first aid/CPR training
- Complete additional duties including data reporting, PPE management, onboarding support, and monthly equipment inspections
- Travel to sites throughout the assigned territory +/- 50% annually
Requirements
- 2+ years broadband, telecommunications, construction, safety, or related experience required
- Previous leadership experience a plus
- Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish)
- Ability to travel daily (+/- 50% annually), open to a variety of schedules and available as needed in emergency situations
- Working knowledge of National Electric Code, Occupational Safety and Health ACT (OSHA), and related state and local codes is helpful
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
- Ability to give feedback; positive and negative when needed
- Must possess the capacity to learn, adapt to change, and become proficient quickly
- Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
- Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
