About the role

The EHS Technician supports a safe and compliant industrial manufacturing environment by auditing critical equipment and processes, validating corrective actions, and reinforcing environmental, health, and safety standards across the facility. This role actively partners with operations teams to perform risk assessments, lead safety audits, and help drive a strong safety culture through training, communication, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and safety audits in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Audit critical equipment and high-risk tasks to ensure EHS compliance.
• Participate in root cause analysis to identify underlying causes of incidents and nonconformities.
• Support ergonomics assessments and improvements in industrial environments.
• Identify safety issues and propose effective corrective actions.
• Support compliance auditing and assist with correcting deficiencies identified during inspections.
• Reinforce safety culture through EHS Toolbox Talks, Safety Alerts, and safety communication activities.

Requirements

• Experience with OSHA standards and practical application of OSHA requirements in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical and manufacturing processes and how they relate to environmental, health, and safety risks.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and EHS-related ISO audit practices.
• Understanding of electrical safety principles and safe work practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify safety issues and propose effective corrective actions.
• Exposure to auditing or controlling high-risk activities such as work at heights, confined space entry, electrical work, and hot work.
• Experience working within a stable, growth-oriented industrial or manufacturing organization.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 Certification is preferred and considered an asset.
• ISO audit experience, particularly related to EHS or quality management systems.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
