Job Summary
The EHS Specialist at Veolia Minnetonka, MN facility is responsible for implementing and administering all Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and OSHA compliance programs. This role aims to create a healthy and accident-free work environment through hazard recognition, evaluation, and control.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Facilitate activities to comply with all applicable federal, state, local, and corporate EHS laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines
- Support and improve EHS programs and practices to eliminate hazards and reduce or eliminate associated risks
- Support the Management of Change Program and conduct safety inspections
- Participate in incident investigations and participate in sustainability initiatives and reporting
- Promote behavioral based safety
- Ensure all employee and contractor training is completed, documented, and maintained

Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, or Environmental Science, or relevant experience; 3-5 years of experience in an EHS role at a chemical, (or industrial) manufacturing facility
- Preferred: Professional certification(s) such as: Certified Safety Professional (CSP®), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or related professional certification(s) or current in process
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with plant management and production employees
- Working knowledge in ergonomics, noise, confined space, machine guarding, and chemical approvals
- Experience in Industrial Hygiene
- Knowledge of working with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
- Experience with PHA and starting up new operations

- Compensation: Salary range is $85,000 - 94,000 annually, with a 3% default contribution plus matching in the 401(k) plan.
