Additional Job Elements

  • Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
  • Work in an environment where the noise level varies
  • Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments)
  • Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)
  • Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response at the site
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts including days, nights and/or weekends
  • If not certified, must obtain within 3 weeks of start date: Adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Basic Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or related field, or 1+ years of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or Flight Safety or performing in a safety-related role within Amazon experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security or personnel issues in the workplace

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
  • Experience in emergency response
  • Experience in worker's compensation case management
  • Experience leading and managing a team
  • Ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 USD hourly.
