EHS Specialist
Actalent supports the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team in maintaining a safe, compliant, and continuously improving manufacturing environment. This role assists with safety programs, training activities, inspections, and regulatory compliance efforts while working closely with operations and engineering teams. It offers a strong opportunity to build expertise in workplace safety practices, OSHA requirements, and EHS management systems within a growing manufacturing organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Safety Committee meetings, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-up on action items.
- Support the review, development, and maintenance of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and related documentation.
- Help coordinate, schedule, and track employee safety training to support OSHA and internal compliance requirements.
- Participate in workplace inspections and compliance audits to identify hazards, nonconformances, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with incident investigations by gathering information, documenting findings, and tracking corrective and preventive actions.
- Help identify workplace safety hazards and support efforts to reduce risk through engineering, administrative, and procedural controls.
- Assist in maintaining and improving safety programs, policies, and procedures across the manufacturing facility.
- Support hazard assessments and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to ensure tasks are evaluated and appropriate controls are in place.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and EHS team members to promote a positive safety culture throughout the facility.
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and compliance documentation in accordance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in risk assessments and recommend practical improvements to reduce risk and enhance safety performance.
- Perform all duties in accordance with company safety standards, EHS requirements, and applicable regulations.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $70,000 – $90,000 per year. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
