Key Responsibilities
- Drive execution of EHS programs and compliance activities
- Regularly audit driver qualification, pre-employment, post-accident, random, and reasonable suspicion drug testing, Hours of Service records and driver training.
- Evaluate and monitor all driver compliance and non-compliance issues, ensuring non-compliance issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, follow-up, and closure of action items.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management, and employees.
- Work with drivers and management to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
- Review, document and analyze all interactions with regulatory entities to include; crashes, roadside inspection violations and citations.
- Prepare, analyze, and disseminate detailed reports from the Company’s ELD and telematics system.
- Monitor CSA Basic Scores to address trends and drive performance. Provide operations with CSA basic scores & reports. Oversee and monitor roadside inspection process reports. Coach front line management on roadside inspection issues.
- Partner with the safety and operations teams to create an annual strategic plan for improvements.
- Participates in the development and implementation of safety programs for OSHA safety compliance.
- Partner with frontline teams to improve safety practices
Qualifications & Characteristics
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of experience in operations, logistics, safety, or related field
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong Excel skills and system aptitude
- Interest in compliance, regulations, safety, technology, process improvement, and digital tools
- Tech-savvy and administratively savvy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with strong learning agility
- Adaptable and open to feedback
- Demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and growth mindset
