Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite Occupational Health Services for a manufacturing workforce
- Conduct medical surveillance programs, health assessments, and annual medical examinations
- Manage work-related injuries and illnesses, including treatment, documentation, and follow-up care
- Cookordinate and facilitate Return-to-Work Programs and workplace accommodations
- Perform Occupational Case Management for occupational and non-occupational medical conditions
- Support Workers' Compensation processes and collaborate with external healthcare providers
- Conduct fitness-for-duty evaluations
- Administer and manage drug and alcohol testing programs
- Perform hearing conservation testing, spirometry testing, vision screening, and other occupational health assessments
- Provide immunizations, phlebotomy, and preventive health services as appropriate
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure confidentiality
- Partner with HR, Safety, Operations, and Leadership Teams on employee health matters
- Support site Emergency Response activities and participate on the Emergency Response Team
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, FMLA, DOT, and other applicable regulations
- Identify workplace health risks and implement preventative health initiatives
- Promote employee wellness, health education, and injury prevention programs
- Participate in corporate health, safety, and wellness initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or Compact State
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); BSN preferred
- Occupational Health, Employee Health, Industrial Nursing, or related clinical experience
- Experience managing case loads, employee health programs, and return-to-work processes
- Experience supporting employee populations within manufacturing, industrial, chemical, production, or similar environments
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation, OSHA, ADA, and FMLA
- Experience with electronic medical record systems
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with employees, management, HR, Safety, and external healthcare providers
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as an Occupational Health Nurse
- Experience supporting a workforce of 300+
- Manufacturing, chemical plant, refinery, industrial, or production facility experience
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
- Urine Drug Screen Collection Certification
- Breath Alcohol Testing Certification
- Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist
- NIOSH Spirometry Certification
- American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS Certification
- Experience with Emergency Response Programs
- Experience managing Workers' Compensation Claims
- Experience with Medical Surveillance Programs
