EHS Manager

About the role

The EHS Manager will oversee all environmental, health, and safety initiatives at Zanskar. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and fostering a culture of safety and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and procedures
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards
• Manage emergency response plans and conduct drills
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks
• Train employees on EHS best practices and regulatory requirements
• Oversee waste management programs and promote recycling efforts
• Work closely with legal and HR departments to address compliance issues and employee concerns

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS management or a similar role
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
• Experience with risk assessment and management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
