EHS Manager

About the role

Location: Reading, PA. Protect People. Ensure Compliance. Lead with Purpose! Lead environmental and health and safety initiatives within a fast-paced, heavy manufacturing environment. As a key member of the facility leadership team, this role is responsible for EH&S regulatory compliance, safety culture, environmental programs, site security, and EH&S training, ensuring company goals and milestones are achieved. This highly collaborative leader partners closely with Operations management, supervisors, and hourly team members to strengthen safety, drive compliance, and promote a proactive EH&S culture across the facility.

Responsibilities

• EH&S Leadership: Partner with site leaders to drive EH&S strategy, compliance, audits, and a strong, proactive safety culture.
• Environmental Compliance: Lead environmental programs and reporting, including NPDES/stormwater, wastewater, hazardous waste, Title V/air emissions and permits, and Tier II.
• Safety & OSHA Compliance: Maintain OSHA compliance and programs covering LOTO, machinery, NFPA, welding, cranes, PITs, PPE, hazard communication, and other general industry standards.
• Industrial Hygiene: Lead industrial hygiene programs and provide EH&S technical support for plant operations and projects.
• Incident Management: Lead incident reporting, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and follow-through to resolution.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop emergency response plans and serve as the site's emergency coordinator.
• Risk & Performance: Analyze safety metrics, identify trends and risks, and implement strategies that reduce injuries and improve EH&S performance.
• Regulatory & Medical Coordination: Monitor regulatory changes, maintain required OSHA records, and partner with
