Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing, and managing all aspects of the organization's EHS programs and initiatives.
  • Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Identifying potential environmental and safety risks and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Providing safety training and education to employees to foster a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Leading accident investigations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation related to EHS activities such as incident reports, training records, and regulatory reports.
  • Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the integration of EHS considerations into business decisions.
  • Staying abreast of current and emerging EHS regulations and industry trends to ensure the organization's ongoing compliance.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role within the Engineering industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards.
  • Proven experience in conducting safety training and accident investigations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey EHS policies and procedures across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Proficiency in using EHS management systems and other related software.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the EHS field.
