This role is based in Franklin, TN.
About the role
Design, develop, implement, and oversee the organization's Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) programs, procedures, and systems. Direct management of worker's compensation claims and represent the facility on the EHSS Council.
Responsibilities
- Manage EHSS activities including performance, safety audits, investigations, preparing reports and recommendations, waste management programs, and managing relationships with community or environmental stakeholders.
- Maintain EHSS metrics, record keeping, and communications.
- Manage EHSS vendors, expenses, and budget.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations (US EPA, SSHA, DOT, OSHA, etc.).
- Manage projects and provide guidance and mentoring to other team members as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), or a related field.
- 5-7 years of related EHS experience in a manufacturing facility.
- 1-2 years of leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge and current understanding of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
- Ability to interpret regulations to ensure compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
