About the role
You will partner with Head Start families in a home-based setting, supporting children's learning, development, and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Implement the child and family curriculum
- Guide parents through goal-setting
- Connect families to health, education, and community resources
- Work closely with MVCDC teams and community partners
- Monitor progress
- Ensure compliance with Head Start standards
- Create meaningful learning experiences through home visits and family engagement activities
Requirements
- Passion for family engagement and empowering parents as leaders in their child’s learning
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Public Health, or related field
- Experience working with children and families in a home-based setting
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with families
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
