About the role
The Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Coordinator (EHS) is responsible for assisting the company's Environmental Health & Safety in ensuring facility-wide environmental health and safety compliance with government regulations and company-mandated practices and procedures.
- Adhere to company Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements, including, but not limited to: company Quality Management System (QMS); Environmental, Health & Safety; company policies, procedures, and work instructions; and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Assist the Site in the EHSS program development.
- Responsible for all workplace incident reports and investigations. Reporting and working with site leadership for resolution.
- Update and maintain as necessary all EHSS procedures, Equipment Training and Certification, maintaining programs for Plant and Personnel Safety.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce or eliminate risk.
- Aid in the identification of new equipment and manufacturing technologies to improve manufacturing safety and overall facility safety.
- Facilitate site EHSS functions, including routine meetings, awareness campaigns, and the performance of EHSS facility assessments, reporting results to Site Leadership.
- Lead EHSS training as required by Federal, State, Local or Viant requirements.
- Maintain compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations. Including, but not limited to OSHA, and any other government agencies.
- Maintain compliance with all environmental affairs. Including, but not limited to wastewater, waste disposal.
- Maintains all related safety KPI’s, OSHA logs, and Viant specific Preventative Safety Observations.

Qualifications
- Demonstrate good interpersonal, presentation and negotiating skills, and excellent written and verbal communications.
- Able to work within a team structure to help develop and implement EHSS programs.
- Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office suite.
- Basic knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulations (e.g. EPA and OSHA).
- Experience in manufacturing maintenance environments
- 2+ years experience in Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability roles
