Responsibilities
- Supports communication and ensures compliance with EHS and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Provides support and counsel to leaders and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of EHS policies, procedures and practices.
- Coordinate with various levels of leadership and employees to provide advice and counsel on employee issues and/or concerns; if necessary conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations to ensure concerns are appropriately resolved in a timely manner.
- Works effectively with local HR team.
- Demonstrates professional behavior and the ability to maintain confidentiality on a variety of topics; understands and exercises good judgement to know when to involve HR Business Partner or leader on more complex or sensitive issues.
- Leads, develops, and participates in company-sponsored activities to support employee engagement.
- Maintains accurate employee records and administrative procedures that comply with company and regulatory guidelines.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with Operations, Managers, Supervisors, and employees.
- Participate in meetings to discuss workplace safety and regulatory concerns and opportunities.
- Outlines and implements training programs to educate and inform on workplace safety.
- Accident prevention, regulations and response.
- Managing safety metrics.
- First point of contact to respond to general EHS inquiries or direct to appropriate area, including injury triage, employee concerns, safety issues, incident response and investigation.
- Tracks and accurately codes department invoices ensuring timely reconciliation and submittal.
- Creates and distributes EHS memos and other communication material as requested.
- Ensures that EHS files, both physical and digital, are created and maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.
- Actively supports our mission, vision and core values and demonstrates Cirrus' Service Essentials.
- Participates in department meetings and offers suggestions and ideas for process improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, or equivalent field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum two years related experience in Safety.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively manage stress, including competing work demands and multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to effectively work with others and maintain professional demeanor.
- Exceptional Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook).
- GSP (Graduate Safety Professional), ASP (Associate Safety Professional), CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) helpful, however, not required.
