EH - MRI Technologist

Contractor/traveler position with a rotating day shift schedule:

• Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday – 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM
• Week 2: Thursday, Friday – 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM; Saturday – 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

About the role

Perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures under the clinical direction of a Radiologist and the administrative direction of the Director of Imaging, with minimum supervision.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience
• Board certified by AART or eligible, or ARMRIT Registered
• New Hampshire MIRTB certification
• BLS Certified

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures
• Review medical records for patient history and pertinent information
• Review requisition with physician
• Explain procedure to patient
• Select proper technique/protocol to obtain optimal scans
• Review studies for overall quality
• Organize daily work schedule and respond to emergencies as needed
• Perform daily calibration check on equipment
• Alert service to any equipment issues
• Provide instruction to medical and hospital staff on MRI safety
