Egg Operator

About the role

This position is responsible for operating OMG/LEO machines throughout the shift. Essential duties include using measurement instruments to check work, making adjustments, notifying tooling personnel, removing and loading parts, assisting in changeover, packing plastic containers and eggs, grinding scrap material, and completing paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Uses measurement instruments to check work and makes adjustments as needed.
• Notifies tooling personnel of the need for more complex machine adjustments.
• Removes and loads parts from the press or labeler.
• Absorbs responsibilities typically performed by other production employees and packers.
• Packs plastic containers and eggs into sleeves/boxes or proper pallet configurations.
• Grinds scrap material out of sleeves.
• Operates and adjusts machine’s computer console.
• Ensures the overall manufacturing process is running smoothly.
• Sets up and installs equipment as needed.
• Performs housekeeping duties daily.
• Enters production data into Insight and conducts hourly retain rack checks.
• Monitors and ensures the quality of the product.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to work in a team environment and support other departments.

Pay

$16.89/hour starting pay rate, plus a $1 shift differential. Annual and skill-based wage increases are eligible.

Schedule

6:00 pm - 6:00 am, 2x2x3 schedule.
