EG Food Service Associate

About the Role

If you are a high energy, outgoing leader who loves to help others and work as part of a team in a food operations environment, this role supports the Retail Store Manager in delivering exceptional food for guests while promoting engagement and living the Company values.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests in a friendly manner to make them feel welcomed and appreciated.
• Follow recipes and food prep procedures correctly when assigned to the food service area.
• Ensure food is wrapped and labeled correctly.
• Maintain food presentation and work areas to company standards, adhering to food safety, sanitization protocols, and equipment maintenance.
• Operate the register efficiently and process sales transactions to minimize guest wait time (where applicable).
• Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the food service area.
• Monitor product levels on the sales floor, including coolers and hot food cases, rotating stock, and keeping product levels full to achieve 100% in-stock goal.
• Lead by example in executing Company values, programs, processes, and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or person in charge.
• Perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Requirements

• Preferred: High School diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 3-6 months of retail or guest service restaurant experience.
• ServSafe/Food Safety certification is a plus but not mandatory.

Skills

• Comfortable interacting with guests and team members.
• High energy and ability to multitask quickly.
• Team-oriented; willing to help others.
• Computer skills are helpful.

Schedule

This position is available part-time (up to 29 hours) and full-time (30-40 hours). Hours vary, including day, night, weekends, and holidays, as Cumberland Farms locations may be open 24 hours depending on the store.

Travel: up to 5%.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours a day; reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, grasp, and grip.
• Ability to work in cooler environments (cold temperatures).
• Moderate noise level in the work environment.
• Specialized attire required in food establishments.

Pay

In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is provided. Final pay within this range will be based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
