Educational Subject Matter Expert in Various Content Areas (1099 Contract)
Quantic is seeking Subject Matter Experts to review and provide feedback on content for undergraduate-level courses, with potential to join our remote/online faculty for a Bachelor of Business Administration program. Areas of focus include:
- Business Law
- Business Communications
- Operations Management
- Project Management
- Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- Sustainability and Society
- General Education Courses: Math, Physical Sciences, Philosophy/General Ethics
About the role
The ideal candidate will have experience creating educational content for and/or teaching Bachelor's or Master's degree programs in one or more of the listed areas. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will review, edit, and finalize the scope and sequence structure for the course, and later review the final content as needed. There may be an opportunity to become part of our remote/online faculty. This is a fully remote, part-time, 1099 contractor position.
Responsibilities
- Review, edit, and finalize the scope and sequence structure for the course (3–6 hours initially).
- Review final content a few months later (15–20 hours per week over 2–3 weeks).
- Potentially join our remote/online faculty (hours vary, TBD).
All coursework becomes the intellectual property of Pedago/Quantic unless otherwise noted in a written agreement.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in the content area or a Master’s degree in any area with 18+ graduate credit hours in the content area (PhD or terminal degree a plus).
- 2+ years of experience teaching and/or writing educational content for degree programs in the relevant content area.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and knowledge of best practices in your area of expertise.
- Excellent and timely communication skills, including adhering to a schedule.
- Patience and willingness to adjust content as needed to meet quality standards.
If a contract is offered, transcripts must be provided before finalizing the agreement.
Qualifications
- Experience creating or teaching content for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programs.
- Strong expertise in one or more of the listed subject areas.
Pay
Hourly rate: $40–$70/hour, depending on experience, credentials, and location.
