Educational Sales Consultant, California - North Bay

About the role

IXL Learning, a leading provider of personalized learning products, seeks an energetic and creative Educational Sales Consultant to join our dynamic field sales team. This role offers the chance to contribute to the growth and success of our educational technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate key product features and benefits to prospective customers virtually and in person
• Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and values to provide personalized assistance throughout the sales process
• Maintain and exceed sales goals consistently
• Design and implement new and creative sales strategies
• Stay informed about market trends and adapt sales approaches accordingly
• Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective customers
• Gather customer feedback to enhance product offerings
• Promote IXL and Rosetta Stone at educational technology conferences
• Travel 75-80% of the time, with occasional overnight stays

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field
• 3+ years of educational sales experience, preferably in a classroom setting
• Experience with web-based technologies
• Able to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven success in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about bringing technology into the classroom

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Web-based technologies
• Ability to apply energy and creativity to meeting sales goals

Benefits

The base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 to $105,000, plus commission eligibility and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
