Job Summary
The Educational Coach Specialist supports the education team by ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal licensing and standard regulations. This role also serves as a support for Early Learning Specialists and supervises teaching staff.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Onboarding and coaching center leadership
- Completing all requirements for children with disabilities support
- Serves as a support for Early Learning Specialists
- Supervises all teaching staff (teachers, assistant teachers, floaters, substitutes and extended day)
- Hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and the completion of all work performed by direct reports
- Represents team and/or department at meetings, events, and training as required
- Ensures all staff and center functions are fully compliant with policies/procedures, including but not limited to effective practices in health and safety and compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, local and state licensing regulations and overall center functioning
- Provides ongoing coaching to staff to support them in successfully fulfilling all aspects of their role
- Manages the full implementation of all aspects of our Acelero Learning methodology and system of recordkeeping, reporting, and ongoing monitoring and data entry
- Participates in Head Start/Early Head Start community, including staff meetings, mandated training, committee and board meetings, and other program-wide functions as needed, including some evening activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education required
- Infant/Toddler education/training for Early Head Start preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of managerial/supervisory experience preferred
- Experience working in a Head Start program required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required
- CPR and First Aid certification, or required to obtain within the first year of employment
- Physical exam and background checks are required for this position
- Local travel and long-distance travel required
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge of the health and safety licensing requirements for schools and/or childcare centers
- Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards & Acelero Integrated Service Plan
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, in a number of forums
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills, especially Excel and basic data systems in MS Office and internet navigation
- Self-motivated and able to seek resources to support the tasks associated with this position

- How Much: $73,328.30 annually + Comprehensive Benefits Package
