Educational Behavior Specialist

Overview

We offer a competitive compensation range from $26.57 - $31.73 per hour, depending on experience, location, and internal equity considerations. Additional compensation includes an 8% license differential for LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD., and select peer certifications, and possible bilingual differentials up to 7.5% for qualifying direct-service roles and up to $80.00/month flat fee for qualifying non-direct service roles.

Pacific Clinics' School-Based Intervention Teams (SBIT) provide tiered behavioral health services across various locations. The Educational Behavior Specialist works independently on school sites and in homes and community settings, working directly with children and adults. Responsibilities

• Provides behavior consultation to teachers, school staff, and caregivers focusing on MTSS, PBIS, antecedent strategies, function-based approaches, and de-escalation techniques.
• Delivers effective clinical services meeting fidelity measures, records data, and implements positive behavioral interventions and skill development plans.
• Models, coaches, reinforces, and implements positive behavioral interventions and skill development plans with students, caregivers, educators, and support networks.
• Aids in plan development and assists teams in creating individualized, strength-based strategies and interventions.
• Identifies and communicates potential conflicts to supervisors within 24 hours and collaboratively solves problems.
• Coordinates services with other providers, fosters nurturing relationships, supports quality environments, and collaboratively problem-solves barriers.
• Works independently with students, educators, and caregivers in various settings, taking a hand-off approach to de-escalation and providing consultation and modeling of positive strategies.
• Collaborates with clinical teams to support the creation and implementation of stabilization and service plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Psychology, Behavioral Science, Education, Child Development, or related field preferred.
• One (1) year experience working with children and their families in related fields required.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• RBT Certification preferred.
• Must pass DOJ, FBI, and CAIC background clearance.
• Valid California Driver's license with two years of experience driving and a clean driving record may be required.

Physical Requirements

The work environment conditions include using hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reaching with hands and arms, tasting or smelling, specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Driving is required, and there may be unsupervised contact with children.
