Educational Associate- Special Education (Long Term Substitute)
About the role
With the focus to support and advance the Edina Public Schools' mission, vision, and core values, the Educational Associate for Special Education assists teachers and supports students with academic, social, motor, behavioral, health, life skills, and other functional tasks. Educational Associates for Special Education work one-on-one and with small groups of students in the areas of instructional reinforcement and student support and learning assistance.
Location: Cornelia Elementary School | Status: Non-Exempt, Temporary
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers and support students with academic, social, motor, behavioral, health, life skills, and other functional tasks.
- Work one-on-one and with small groups of students.
- Provide instructional reinforcement and student support and learning assistance.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or at least two years of post-secondary education (minimum 60 semester credits), or a passing score on the ParaPro assessment.
- Experience working with students.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Strong communication skills.

Pay
The hourly wage for this position is $23.92 per hour.

Schedule: 8:00 am - 2:30 pm; Days: Student contact days only.
